A CLOSER LOOK AT OUR TACTICAL POSITIONING TARGETS
Each day, Meeder analyzes and ranks over 70 different factors from our short, intermediate, and long-term models. The dynamic statistical model incorporates factors covering macroeconomic, fundamental, trends and technical analysis to estimate the potential reward and marketplace risk of the equity markets. The Meeder Spectrum, Muirfield, Balanced, Moderate Allocation, and Conservative Allocation funds utilize this strategy for the Defensive Equity portion of their portfolios. The Defensive Equity Strategy guides the allocation of each fund’s equity sleeve and the actual proportion of equity investments in any fund will vary depending on the investment objectives of the fund.

QUICK TAKE
Advance-decline lines across many major US equity indexes are near or better than levels seen before the Iran Conflict started. Market breadth improvements have helped to bolster the long-term trends portion of the model.
Many of the sentiment indicators that were significantly bearish have turned bullish in short order. Looking at options activity, the Put to Call ratio is signaling extreme bullishness. This is negative from a contrarian perspective.
A second asymmetrical signal turned on related to a significant short-term rise in advancing vs declining stocks. Historically, this surge in market breadth has been positive for equity market returns in the near term.
Market RISK continues to fall as the VIX is near its long-term average and the MOVE index is well below its long-term average.
